I find enjoyment in reading young adult literature, and any type of outdoor activity. When I am not at my desk, you can find me with young people, fostering curiosity and creativity through art or nature. In the winter, I enjoy building snowforts, cross country skiing, and sledding hills.
Summertime is focused on biking, bonfires, and camping.

Growing up on a farm in western Minnesota, I know the value of hard work. Raising (happy and successful) children while working full-time, volunteering in my community, and earning two master's degrees has given me unparalleled insight and perspective.
